Xingyu Wang is a PhD student in Chinese Buddhism. She studies Buddhism and literature from the Song to the Ming and their broader sociocultural contexts, with particular interests in literati's Buddhist writings and Buddhism and vernacular literature. Before coming to the University of Arizona, she received a BA in Journalism and Communication Studies from Central China Normal University and an MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Alberta.
