Iris (黎沅雅) is a Ph.D. student majoring in Chinese Buddhism. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MA in Buddhist Studies from the University of Hong Kong. Despite her initial foundation in the sciences, Iris has displayed diverse scholarly curiosity by pursuing minors in Buddhist Studies and African Studies. Her current research focuses on the cultural history of Chinese Buddhism during the medieval period, particularly emphasising the role of Buddhist practices in shaping social identities.
