Chen, Miao

Miao Chen is a Ph.D. student in East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona. Her research is focused on Third-World digital media culture and the intersection of spectrality and critical infrastructure. She is also an award-winning filmmaker and theater artist, actively participating in research-informed film and theater production both in China and internationally. She holds a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing Normal University, and an M.F.A. in Cinematic Arts, Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California.
