After B.A, and a year of working at the Center for Creative Photography, I went to receive my M.A and Ph.D in History of Art at the University of Chicago. Subsequently I landed a job at the University of Michigan in 2006 and was tenured in 2012. I have since moved to the UK for the current job. I owe it to my teachers at the U of A (East Asian Studies and Art History) for giving me the strength and tenacity to "survive" the M.A and Ph.D programs, not to mention the mental strength to go through the tenure process. If it weren't for their encouragement and belief in my potential, I would have dropped out much earlier. Being on the other side now for 10 years, it is such a pleasure to offer support and encouragement to my undergraduate and graduate students.
