Kathryn Wilde

My degree is in what was called Oriental Studies at the time, and my fascination has always been with language and how it reflects our thinking. Mandarin Chinese showed me marvelous examples of this. I have been teaching English for 30+ years (after getting my teaching preparation through the UA) to both ELL and native speakers with a variety of language backgrounds. My sensitivity to language use began with that study of the Mandarin language and Chinese culture.
