I continue to believe that my education in the Humanities has prepared me for my professional career because a large part of the Armed Forces is navigating interpersonal differences. I have gained the necessary skills to effectively integrate and communicate with a variety of members from all types of backgrounds. I have also received an A.A.S. Information Technology in 2017 and my PhD. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Humanities and Culture was conferred in 2022. My dissertation, "Anime as Socio-Cultural Critique in Shinichirô Watanabe’s Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Terror in Resonance, and Kids on the Slope," allowed me to pursue one of my deepest passions. I have recently published three works that explore feminist pragmatism, ecocriticism and interpersonal relationships in several anime works. Although my career progressed in ways I couldn’t foresee, I strongly encourage anyone with a passion to study humanities and let the road take you where it may.
