Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrating family reunion and gratitude for the harvest. It’s held on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest. People enjoy mooncakes, light lanterns, and gather with loved ones to admire the bright full moon.

On October 3rd, 2025, the Chinese Language Program invited students to celebrate this holiday by engaging in cultural activities, such as origami, making hand fans, and ring tossing, among others. Participants who completed all the activities received mooncakes to enjoy.
