Chinese Buddhist Canon

The Religious Studies Center at Brigham Young University and the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona are organizing the Third International Conference on the Chinese Buddhist Canon, which is scheduled from April 9 to 10, 2015 in Provo, Utah. Previous conferences were held in 2011 in Tucson and 2013 in Los Angeles. The third conference will focus on the Buddhist Canon in modern East Asia. Profs. Albert Welter and Jiang Wu will attend the conference and present papers. Dr. Jiang Wu will deliver the keynote speech on key issues in the study of the Chinese Buddhist canon on Friday, April 10 at 11:00 am. Five graduate students from EAS 596A will go to BYU and provide translation services.
