Arizona-in-Shanghai is a five-week summer program. You will receive 6 direct credits of language courses that can count towards your major/minor requirement. In addition to language classes, you will be paired up with a peer tutor and receive additional tutorials and/or practice the language. The program also includes many cultural activities such as exchange with Chinese college students, visiting Shanghai’s marriage market, a weekend field trip to Hangzhou (one of the Places to Go in 2016 picked by New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/01/07/travel/places-to-visit.html?_r=0), etc. Last year we had a successful launch of the program with a cohort of 11 students, some of whom will join us at the info session. Pizza will be served!
Please come join us to find out more about the program. Dr. Wenhao Diao, field director of the program will be hosting the event, so please bring your questions too! E.g., How do I apply? How much does it cost? Can I get scholarships? What classes will be offered? How can I transfer my credit?
