Zhuo joined in the Ph.D. program in fall 2017. She is originally from Xi'an, China. After her internship of chaplaincy at Cedars-Sinai (L.A) in 2016, she returned to the Hilltop to start her doctoral studies. Her major areas of interest are the Chinese Buddhist laity precepts during the pre-modern period, focusing on the Buddhist laity precepts, Buddhist healing practice, and education. She is especially interested in how the Buddhist precepts affect the cognition of the laity education in general.
