Ji Wang is originally from Ningbo, China. She is a Ph.D. candidate majoring in Modern Chinese literature. She received her MA in Chinese from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research interests include Modern Chinese literature, Taiwanese New Cinema with a focus on director Wei Te-sheng’s film works, and Taiwanese colonial history. Prior to coming to the University of Arizona, she has assisted teaching Chinese at University of Massachusetts for 2 years, including Intensive Elementary Chinese, Intensive Intermediate Chinese and Reading & Writing Chinese for heritage students. She was employed by Columbia University for teaching Advanced Chinese at CIB (Columbia in Beijing) language program at Peking University in Summer 2016. Additionally, she is interested in creative writing, and has ever published the script titled “Photo” in Great Lake Review in April 2014.
